Who is Kat Atomic?
Artist, designer, and creator of byKatAtomic, Kat can turn you into one of her toons or ghoulish characters. A self-proclaimed “closet artist,” 2020’s quarantine pulled Kat out of her art hiatus.
Fusing her love of history, road travel, horror, and Southern Californian flare with black-and-white prints featuring familiar characters and mischievous personalities, Kat’s art is unlimited to pinup characters, Halloween motifs, pop culture, and imagery from the atomic era.
“When I sit down to draw, the black and white color palette takes me back to the time of static television and newspaper deliveries to your door. The greyscale challenges me to think outside the box and helps me appreciate the simpler times, colors, and textures."
Presently, Kat practices her talent full-time, producing personalized framed-art commissions, stickers and accessories featuring her work. She especially likes crafting personal commissions, where she draws her subjects by remixing contrasting styles to reveal one’s likeness in a unique way.
